SAFETY PLAN

These Guidelines and protocols have been created in consultation with the WorkSafe BC Returning To Safe Operations and WorkSafe BC COVID19 Safety Plan.  

We have also consulted with the Canadian (JCTA) Tanning Associations “Guide to Re-Opening Your Salon”.

APPOINTMENTS:

  1. ALL TANNING APPOINTMENTS NEED TO BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE.  WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING WALK-IN APPOINTMENTS AT THIS TIME.  PLEASE CALL US TO BOOK.  YOU CAN ALSO MESSAGE US ON FB AND IG AND WE WILL RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
  2. ONLY ARRIVE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT JUST 1 OR 2 MINUTES BEFORE IT IS SCHEDULED.  PLEASE ENSURE THE LOBBY IS NOT ALREADY FULL (3 GUESTS MAX) BEFORE YOU ENTER.  IF WE ARE FULL, PLEASE WAIT OUTSIDE UNTIL WE ARE READY.
  3. AS ALWAYS, IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 7 MINUTES LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT AND THERE IS ANOTHER SCHEDULED BEHIND YOURS, WE WILL HAVE TO CANCEL IT.
  4. WE ARE ONLY ALLOWING A MAX OF 4 SAUNA APPOINTMENTS PER DAY, WITH LIMITED SLOTS TO ALLOW FOR CLEANING AND SANITIZING.  PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE AND IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL, PLEASE DO SO AS SOON AS YOU CAN.

SANITIZATION PLAN:

  1. ADDITIONAL TIME WILL BE ALLOTED FOR BED AND ROOM CLEANING IN BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS.
  2. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RE-SANTIZE YOUR BED YOURSELF BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT, PLEASE ASK US FOR THE SPRAY AND CLOTH AND YOU ARE WELCOME TO DO SO.
  3. ALL DOOR HANDLES, HOOKS, BENCHES, MIRRORS, SHELVES AND SEATS WILL BE SPRAYED AND WIPED AFTER EACH SESSION
  4. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BRING OUT YOUR DIRTY TOWELS AND PLACE IN THE HAMPER AFTER YOUR SESSION.
  5. HAND SANITIZER WILL BE LOCATED AT THE FRONT DESK, PLEASE USE 
  6. THE WASHROOM WILL BE SANITIZED AFTER EACH USE
  7. 47” PLEXI GLASS DIVIDER WILL BE AT OUR RECEPTION AREA 
  8. A PLASTIC COVER WILL BE ON OUR DEBIT MACHINE/ WIPED AFTER EACH USE
  9. GLOVES WILL BE USED BY STAFF FOR ALL HANDLING OF DIRTY TOWELS AND CLEANING BEDS

WASHROOM:

  1. LIMITED USE OF WASHROOM – UNLESS URGENT.  WE KEEP DIRTY LAUNDRY THERE AND PREFER IT STAY STAFF ONLY IF POSSIBLE.  WASHROOM WILL BE SANITIZED AFTER EACH USE. 
  2. NO MORE HAND TOWELS FOR DRYING – WE WIL PROVIDE PAPER TOWEL.  YOU MUST DISPOSE IN THE GARBAGE AFTER USE.
  3. PLEASE ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER USING THE WASHROOM AND PLEASE PUT THE TOILET SEAT DOWN AFTER USE.

PAYMENTS:

  1. DEBIT OR CREDIT ONLY PLEASE – NO CASH ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME, UNLESS THE ONLY OPTION
  2. IF YOU HAVE AN UNLIMITED TANNING PACKAGE OR A LUXE LIFESTYLE MEMBERSHIP PLAN, PLEASE TALK TO THE FRONT DESK AND WE WILL ADJUST YOUR PACKAGE ACCORDINGLY DUE TO OUR CLOSURE.  ALL PACKAGES RESUME EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, MAY 22ND

MISC / HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS:

  1. IF YOU ARE SYMPTOMATIC OR HAVE BEEN NOT FEELING WELL PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SALON AT THIS TIME. 
  2. PLEASE ENSURE HALLWAYS ARE CLEAR BEFORE WALKING DOWN TO YOUR ROOM AND COMING OUT OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.  6’FT DISTANCING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART.
  3. OUR LOBBY WILL HAVE DESIGNATED AREAS FOR YOU TO STAND OR SIT WHILE WAITING, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE AT ALL TIMES.  
  4. NO GUESTS, CHILDREN OR PETS ARE ALLOWED TO ACCOMPANY YOU TO THE SALON FOR ANY APPOINTMENTS.
  5. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR TIME IN THE SALON TO YOUR APPOINTMENT ONLY – AS MUCH AS WE LOVE TO CHAT AND CATCH-UP WE NEED TO REMAIN MINDFUL OF THE MAX CAPACITY AND TIME SPENT.
  6. PLEASE ASK US TO GET YOUR LOTION FOR YOU – PROVIDE US YOUR # AND WE WILL GET IT FOR YOU.  WE ARE LIMITING THE CABINETS TO STAFF ONLY AT THIS TIME.
  7. WE WILL NOT REQUIRE YOU OR OUR STAFF TO WEAR MASKS WHILE IN THE SALON.  THE WCB GUIDELINES DO NOT REQUIRE THIS, BUT STATE CLEARLY THAT MAINTAINING SOCIAL DISTANCE OF 6FT IS THE KEY.  
  8. THESE PROTOCOLS AND GUIDELINES ARE FOR BOTH STAFF AND CLIENT SAFETY AND HAVE BEEN SET FORWARD BY WBC.  WE WILL BE SUBJECT TO REVIEWS AND WALK THRUS BY FRASER HEALTH AND NEED TO MAINTAIN THESE AT ALL TIMES.  THESE GUIDELINES MAY BE UPDATED AS WE PROCEED AND SEE HOW THINGS GO.
